  {
   "question": "How do I book the Ourika Valley day trip?",
   "answer": "Go to our booking page, choose the day trip, your date, the number of people and your pickup address, then pay a 50% deposit online. You receive a confirmation email straight away. Private transport, the half day, the packages, the cooperatives tour, the Ourika and Agafay day, the cooking class and the pottery workshop are booked the same way."
  },
  {
   "question": "How can I pay?",
   "answer": "When you book, you pay a 50% deposit online through PayPal, either with a PayPal account or with a bank card via PayPal. The balance, the other 50%, is paid in cash to your driver on the day of the trip. Your card details go to PayPal, never to us, and you see the total, the deposit and the balance before confirming. Drinks, tips and purchases are paid on the spot, ideally in cash in dirhams, and so is lunch if you did not add the lunch option."
  },
  {
   "question": "How much does the private day trip cost?",
   "answer": "The price is per vehicle, not per person: 120 EUR for a minivan for 1 to 7 people, 200 EUR for a minibus for 8 to 17 people, with fuel, driver and pickup and drop-off at your hotel or riad. Lunch (20 EUR per person) and a local guide for the waterfalls (40 EUR per group for 1 to 7 people, 80 EUR for 8 to 17) are options added at booking."
  },
  {
   "question": "What is the cancellation policy?",
   "answer": "Cancellation is free up to 48 hours before the trip, and your deposit is refunded in full. For later cancellations and no-shows, the deposit is not refunded. If weather or river conditions make the valley unsafe on your date, we propose another date or refund your deposit in full. Full details are in our terms and conditions."
  },
  {
   "question": "Do I pay everything online?",
   "answer": "No. Online, you pay only a 50% deposit, through PayPal with a PayPal account or with a bank card via PayPal. You pay the balance, the other 50%, in cash to your driver on the day of the trip. Cancellation is free up to 48 hours before the trip, with the deposit refunded in full."
  },
  {
   "question": "Can you pick us up in the medina?",
   "answer": "Cars cannot enter most lanes of the Marrakech medina. If your riad is inside, we meet you at the nearest point a vehicle can reach, as close as possible to your door. Your driver confirms the exact meeting point on WhatsApp the day before, and riad staff can usually walk you there. For private transport, pickup or drop-off at Marrakech airport costs the same as from a hotel or riad."
  },
  {
   "question": "Which languages do your drivers and guides speak?",
   "answer": "Our drivers speak French, English and Spanish. The local guide in the valley, an option on the private day trip, works with you in a language you share, and explains the Amazigh (Berber) culture of the villages. If you need a specific language, mention it when you book and we tell you honestly what we can offer."
  },
  {
   "question": "Is the trip suitable for children?",
   "answer": "Yes, children enjoy the river, the cooperative and village life along the road. The waterfalls path is rocky, so small children often stop at the first falls, and that is fine. Tell us the ages of your children when you book so we can plan the day and the vehicle."
  },
  {
   "question": "Is the Ourika Valley accessible for people with reduced mobility?",
   "answer": "The drive, the cooperative and the riverside restaurants at Setti Fatma are manageable for most people, though some have steps and uneven ground. The waterfalls path is not: it is rocky with scrambling. Tell us about any mobility needs before booking and we adapt the programme."
  },
  {
   "question": "What should I wear?",
   "answer": "Closed shoes with a good grip are essential for the waterfalls. Bring a light jacket, because the valley is cooler than Marrakech, plus a hat and sun cream. Clothing that covers shoulders and knees is appreciated in the villages. In winter, add warm layers."
  },
  {
   "question": "What about flash floods and bad weather?",
   "answer": "In summer, thunderstorms can build over the mountains in the afternoon and the river can rise very fast. Our drivers and guides watch the sky and the water, and keep you away from the riverbed when a storm threatens. If conditions are unsafe, we move your date or refund your deposit in full."
  },
  {
   "question": "Is lunch included?",
   "answer": "On the private day trip, lunch is an option you add when you book: 20 EUR per person, at a riverside restaurant in Setti Fatma, drinks not included. You can also eat on your own and pay the restaurant directly; in that case, ask for the menu and prices before ordering."
  },
  {
   "question": "Do we have to buy something at the cooperatives?",
   "answer": "Never. The visit is a chance to see how argan oil is made and to taste it. If you want to buy, the money goes to the cooperative, and our guide can explain the difference between culinary and cosmetic oil so you choose well. Our drivers do not push you to shop."
  },
  {
   "question": "Should we tip the driver and guide?",
   "answer": "Tips are not included in the price and are never compulsory. In Morocco it is customary to leave something for a driver or guide if you were happy with the day. Give what feels right to you, directly to the person, in dirhams or euros."
  },
  {
   "question": "Is the Ourika Valley safe?",
   "answer": "The valley is a quiet farming area that welcomes many visitors every year, and it is open to tourism. The main risks are natural: slippery rocks on the waterfalls path and summer storms. With good shoes, a local guide and attention to the weather, the day is safe for most people."
  },
  {
   "question": "Are all your trips private?",
   "answer": "Yes. Every outing is private: your group only, with your own vehicle and driver, and you set the pace. The day trip costs 120 EUR per vehicle for 1 to 7 people, 200 EUR for 8 to 17, with pickup at your hotel or riad in Marrakech and departure and return times you choose; lunch and a local guide are options. It is booked online with a 50% deposit, and the balance is paid to the driver on the day."
  },
  {
   "question": "Do you take groups of 8 or more?",
   "answer": "Yes. For 8 to 17 people the private day trip uses a minibus at 200 EUR for the vehicle, which is 25 EUR each for eight people and about 12 EUR each for seventeen. The waterfall guide option is 80 EUR per group and lunch 20 EUR per person. We book up to 17 people online; for a larger group, write to us before booking so we can plan vehicles and guides."
  },
  {
   "question": "Can we combine the valley with a camel ride or quad?",
   "answer": "Yes. A camel ride can be added to the day trip and paid on the spot, or booked as a package: the vehicle price (120 EUR for 1 to 7 people) plus 15 EUR per person. The quad package adds 30 EUR per person. The trek with lunch in a Berber home costs 60 EUR per person (transport from Marrakech optional) and the Oukaïmeden day 180 EUR per vehicle for 1 to 7 people, 260 EUR for 8 to 17."
  },
  {
   "question": "How much do the half day, the Agafay day, the cooking class and the pottery workshop cost?",
   "answer": "Half day: 120 EUR per vehicle for 1 to 7 people, 200 EUR for 8 to 17, with breakfast by the river (20 EUR per person) and a waterfalls guide (40 or 80 EUR per group) as options. Ourika and Agafay: 180 EUR per vehicle for 1 to 7 people, 260 EUR for 8 to 17. Cooking class: 60 EUR per person. Pottery workshop: 30 EUR per person. For both, transport from Marrakech is optional. All are booked online with a 50% deposit."
  },
  {
   "question": "Where is the Ourika Valley?",
   "answer": "In the High Atlas, in Al Haouz province, south of Marrakech in Morocco. The valley starts at Tnine Ourika, about 30 km from the city, and follows the Ourika river up to Setti Fatma, the last village on the road, at about 1,500 m."
  },
  {
   "question": "How far is the Ourika Valley from Marrakech?",
   "answer": "About 30 km to the entrance of the valley at Tnine Ourika and 60 to 65 km to Setti Fatma, which takes about 1 hour to 1 hour 30 by road. From Marrakech Menara airport, count about 70 km to Setti Fatma."
  },
  {
   "question": "Is the Ourika Valley worth visiting?",
   "answer": "Yes, if you want a green and cooler day close to Marrakech: a river lined with restaurants, Amazigh villages, cooperatives and a short walk to a waterfall. Two honest warnings: the falls are modest (the Ouzoud Falls are far more spectacular, but about 150 km away), and Setti Fatma is busy at weekends. On a weekday morning the valley is at its best."
  },
  {
   "question": "Can you visit the Ourika Valley without a guide?",
   "answer": "Yes. The road, the villages and the riverside are open to everyone, and the first waterfall can be reached on your own in about 30 minutes of steep, rocky walking. A local guide is useful beyond the first fall, with children, or when the rocks are wet. On our private day trip the guide is an option: 40 EUR per group for 1 to 7 people, 80 EUR for 8 to 17."
  },
  {
   "question": "Is there a bus or a taxi from Marrakech to the Ourika Valley?",
   "answer": "Shared grand taxis leave from a rank on the south side of the medina once their six seats are full, and they are the cheapest option. The ALSA suburban bus, line 25, only goes as far as Tnine Ourika. The small city taxis cannot leave Marrakech. Grand taxis are paid in cash, in dirhams. Our guide on getting to the Ourika Valley compares every option."
  },
  {
   "question": "How long is the walk to the Setti Fatma waterfalls?",
   "answer": "About 30 minutes of steep, rocky walking from the footbridge in Setti Fatma to the first fall, with a few places where you need your hands. Most visitors stop there. Wear shoes with a real grip: smooth sandals and flip-flops are the main reason people turn back."
  },
  {
   "question": "Can you swim in the Ourika Valley?",
   "answer": "Some people take a dip in the pools below the falls in summer, but the water comes from the mountains and is very cold, the rocks are slippery and depth is hard to judge. Never jump in, never swim alone, and get out immediately if the water turns muddy or rises."
  },
  {
   "question": "Are there monkeys in the Ourika Valley?",
   "answer": "A small population of Barbary macaques, an endangered species, has been studied by scientists in the forest patches of the upper valley around Setti Fatma. It numbers only a few groups, so seeing them is rare. If you do, keep your distance and never feed them."
  },
  {
   "question": "How high is the Ourika Valley, and is it colder than Marrakech?",
   "answer": "The valley climbs from the plain to about 1,500 m at Setti Fatma, while Marrakech lies at about 450 m. It is cooler than the city all year. Oukaïmeden, above the valley, is at about 2,600 m."
  },
  {
   "question": "Can you visit the Ourika Valley in winter?",
   "answer": "Yes. Winter mornings are cold, with snow on the peaks, and there is skiing at Oukaïmeden when there is enough snow, usually between January and March. In the lower valley, average lows and highs in January are about 1 and 15 °C. Bring warm layers: the days are quiet and the light is clear."
  },
  {
   "question": "What can you buy in the Ourika Valley?",
   "answer": "Argan oil and amlou at the women's cooperatives, tagine pots and pottery from the potters along the road, and Berber rugs woven by women. Nothing is compulsory. Our guides on argan, pottery and rugs explain how to recognise quality and pay a fair price."
  },
  {
   "question": "How much time do you need for the Ourika Valley?",
   "answer": "A full day from Marrakech is the classic choice: the drive, a cooperative, Setti Fatma, the walk to the first waterfall and lunch by the river. If you are short of time, our half day leaves at 7:00 am and is back in Marrakech around noon."
