- Day pass: access to a hotel or club pool for the day, without a room
- Published prices in 2026: about 150 to 520 MAD per person
- Lunch is extra or included, depending on the place
- The pools are on the plain and the lower road, not in the mountain valley
- Private return transport with the driver waiting: 120 EUR per vehicle for 1 to 7 people
A pool day pass on the Ourika road is a day of access to the pool of a hotel or a pool club, without booking a room. Several places between Marrakech and the Ourika Valley sell one. Published prices in 2026 run from about 150 to 520 MAD per person, and a local guide gives 300 to 500 MAD as the usual range for a simple pool on this road. Depending on the place, the price covers the pool only, or the pool with a sunbed and lunch. These pools are on the plain and the lower road, not in the mountain part of the valley, where the river is cold, shallow and not safe for swimming after storms. We drive you there and back with a private vehicle: 120 EUR for 1 to 7 people for a same-day return with the driver waiting.
In summer, half the requests we receive for the Ourika road are about water: where can we swim, and where can the children cool down? This page gives the answer that is true, with the prices the places themselves publish.
What is a day pass?
It is a ticket for the day. You arrive in the morning or at midday, you use the pool and the garden, you eat at the restaurant, and you leave in the late afternoon. What is included changes from one place to another: some sell the entry alone, others add a sunbed, a towel or a full lunch. Always ask before you go.
What do the day passes cost?
These are prices published by the places themselves or by a 2026 guide, read in October 2026. They change with the season and with promotions: confirm before you travel.
| Place | Where | Published price | What it covers | Source |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| O'Atlas | Ourika road, 22 minutes from the centre of Marrakech | 300 MAD per adult; 120 MAD for children aged 2 to 10; free under 24 months | Pool access; lunch is à la carte; open 10 am to 6 pm, last entry 5 pm | The place's own website |
| Ourika Camp | Ourika road | 200 MAD per adult and 150 MAD per child under 12; with lunch, 300 MAD and 250 MAD. Earlier 2026 offers: 150 MAD, or 250 MAD with lunch | Pool access for the day, with or without lunch | The hotel's own posts in 2026 |
| Oasis Lodges | Ourika road | 520 MAD | Pool, sunbed, gardens | Vivre à Marrakech, 2026 guide |
O'Atlas describes a pool of 320 square metres surrounded by palm trees, and asks visitors to book by form or by phone.
What about the hotels in the valley?
Several of the best rated hotels of the Ourika Valley have a pool. They are hotels first: a pool is for their guests, and whether outside visitors can come for the day, and at what price, is something to ask the hotel directly. We did not find a published day pass price for them, so we do not quote one.
Can you swim in the Ourika river?
At Setti Fatma and along the road, restaurants set their tables in the river, and everybody ends up with their feet in the water. That is the pleasure of the place. Swimming is another matter: the water is cold, the river is shallow and rocky, and after a storm upstream it can rise within minutes. Our article on the storms of October 2026 shows how fast that happens. With children, paddle at the edge and stay within reach.

How do you get there and back?
The places are on or near the Ourika road, on the Marrakech side of the valley. A taxi will take you; getting one back in the late afternoon is the hard part. That is where our private transport helps.
| Transport | 1 to 7 people | 8 to 17 people |
|---|---|---|
| Same-day return with the driver waiting | 120 EUR per vehicle | 200 EUR per vehicle |
Tell us the name of the place you have booked and the time you want to leave. The price is for the vehicle, not per person.
How do you combine a pool with the valley?
In summer, the best order is the valley first and the pool afterwards:
- Leave Marrakech early and drive up to Setti Fatma while it is cool.
- Walk to the first waterfall, or stroll in the village.
- Come back down before the afternoon heat and the afternoon storms.
- Spend the hottest hours by the pool, with lunch.
- Return to Marrakech in the evening.
Our half day in the Ourika Valley leaves at 7 am and brings you back around midday, which leaves the whole afternoon for a pool. Families will find more ideas in our guide to the Ourika Valley with kids, and the weather page tells you how hot the week will be.

Frequently asked questions
How much is a pool day pass on the Ourika road?
Published prices in 2026 run from about 150 to 520 MAD per person. One local guide gives 300 to 500 MAD as the usual range for a simple pool on the Ourika road. Lunch is included in some passes and extra in others, so compare what you get.
Are there swimming pools in the Ourika Valley itself?
Several hotels in the lower valley have a pool for their guests. The places that sell day passes are mostly lower down, on the plain and the first part of the Ourika road, closer to Marrakech.
Can you swim in the Ourika river?
People paddle at the river restaurants, where tables stand in shallow water. We do not recommend swimming: the water is cold and shallow, the bed is rocky, and after a storm upstream the river can rise fast.
Do you need to book a day pass?
Usually yes, above all at weekends and in summer. Places confirm by phone, e-mail or WhatsApp. Ask at the same time what the price includes: sunbed, towel, lunch, children's rate.
How do you get to a pool on the Ourika road?
By taxi, by rental car or with a private driver. With us, a same-day return with the driver waiting costs 120 EUR per vehicle for 1 to 7 people and 200 EUR for 8 to 17: he takes you in the morning and brings you back when you choose.
Can you combine a pool day with the Ourika Valley?
Yes, in that order in summer: the valley early, while it is cool, then the pool from midday. Tell us the place you have booked and we build the day around it.
