These terms apply to every trip and service booked with us. In short: the private and shared day trips are paid online and confirmed instantly, cancellation is free up to 7 days before the trip, and if weather or river conditions make the valley unsafe we offer a new date or a full refund.
Please read these terms before booking. By booking a trip or service with us, you accept them. "We" means the local team that runs Ourika Valley tours and transport from Marrakech through ourika-valley.com; "you" means the person who books and every member of their group.
1. Booking and payment
The private Ourika Valley day trip and the shared excursion are booked and paid online at the time of booking, through PayPal (with a PayPal account or a bank card via PayPal). We never see your card number.
Other offers (private transport, packages, cooperative tours) are booked by request. We send you a quote with the price and details; the booking is confirmed only when you accept it, and payment terms are stated in the quote.
2. Confirmation
For online bookings, you receive a confirmation email immediately after payment. For requests, we confirm within the day by email or WhatsApp. Please check the date, group size and pickup address in your confirmation and tell us at once if anything is wrong.
3. Prices
Prices are in euros (EUR) and per person. For the private day trip, the price per person depends on the size of your group: the larger the group, the lower the price per person, from 105 EUR for one traveller to 25 EUR per person for groups of six or more. The shared excursion costs 25 EUR per person whatever the group size, and this price includes lunch and return transport from Marrakech. Each price includes what is listed as included on the offer page. Lunch (except on the shared excursion), drinks, tips, optional activities and personal purchases are not included unless stated.
4. Cancellation by you
- Cancellation up to 7 days before the date of the trip: free, with a full refund.
- Cancellation less than 7 days before the trip, or no-show: no refund.
To cancel, write to booking@ourika-valley.com or on WhatsApp +212 661 454 738. Refunds of online payments are made through PayPal to the original payment method.
5. Weather, river and safety
In the Ourika Valley, summer thunderstorms can make the river rise quickly. If weather or river conditions make the valley unsafe on your date, or if the authorities close the road or the paths, we propose another date or a full refund, as you prefer. On the day, our driver and guide may change the programme (for example, shorten the waterfall walk) for safety reasons. Their decision is final.
6. Changes
You may ask to change the date or the group size; we do our best to accept, depending on availability. If the group size changes, the price per person is adjusted to the group-size tier. We may have to replace a vehicle, driver or guide for reasons beyond our control; the service will remain equivalent.
7. Pickup
We pick you up at your hotel or riad in Marrakech. Cars cannot enter most medina lanes: if you stay inside the medina, pickup is at the nearest point a vehicle can reach, which we confirm before the trip. Please be ready at the agreed time with your phone switched on. If we cannot find you or reach you by phone or WhatsApp, the trip may be treated as a no-show.
8. Children
Travellers under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or a responsible adult, who remains responsible for them throughout the trip. Please tell us the ages of children when booking.
9. Health and fitness
The walk to the waterfalls of Setti Fatma is on a rocky path with steps and some scrambling. It requires good shoes and a reasonable level of fitness. Tell us before booking about any health condition, pregnancy or reduced mobility, so we can advise you or adapt the programme. You take part in walks and activities at your own risk and should follow the guide's instructions.
10. Liability and third-party services
We are responsible for the services we provide ourselves: transport, driver and guide. Restaurants, cooperatives, shops and activity partners (such as camel ride or quad operators) are independent businesses, responsible for their own services, prices and products. We are not liable for losses, delays or damage caused by events beyond our control, such as weather, road closures, strikes or decisions of the authorities. We recommend that you have travel insurance.
11. Behaviour
We ask all travellers to respect the people, villages and customs of the valley (see our guide to the people of the valley). We may end a service without refund if a traveller behaves dangerously, illegally or abusively towards our team, other people or local residents.
12. Complaints
If something is not right, tell your driver or guide straight away so we can fix it on the spot. You can also write to booking@ourika-valley.com after the trip; we will look into it and answer.
13. Personal data
We handle your data as described in our privacy policy.
14. Governing law
These terms are governed by Moroccan law. In case of dispute, we will first look for a friendly solution with you; failing that, the competent Moroccan courts will have jurisdiction.
