Ourika Valley
Please read these terms before booking. By booking a trip or service with us, you accept them. "We" means the local team that runs Ourika Valley tours and transport from Marrakech through ourika-valley.com; "you" means the person who books and every member of their group.
1. Booking and payment
Every offer is booked and paid online at the time of booking, through PayPal (with a PayPal account or a bank card via PayPal): the private Ourika Valley day trip, the half day, the shared excursion, private transport between Marrakech and the Ourika Valley, the trek and lunch with a Berber family, the three combined days on our packages page (Ourika with a camel ride, Ourika with quad, Ourika and Oukaïmeden), the cooperatives and villages tour, the Ourika and Agafay desert day, the cooking class and the pottery workshop. We never see your card number.
Each offer has a published price and is paid online; none requires a quote. Online booking goes up to 17 people; for a larger group, contact us and we organise the booking with you directly.
2. Confirmation
You receive a confirmation email immediately after payment. Please check the date, group size and pickup address in your confirmation and tell us at once if anything is wrong.
3. Prices
Prices are in euros (EUR). The private day trip is priced per vehicle for the day: 120 EUR for a minivan for 1 to 7 people, 200 EUR for a minibus for 8 to 17 people. This price includes the vehicle, fuel, the driver and pickup and drop-off at your hotel or riad in Marrakech. Two options can be added at booking: lunch at a riverside restaurant, 20 EUR per person, and a local guide for the waterfalls walk, 40 EUR per group for 1 to 7 people or 80 EUR per group for 8 to 17 people. Online bookings are limited to 17 people; contact us for larger groups. The shared excursion costs 25 EUR per person whatever the group size, and this price includes lunch and return transport from Marrakech. Private transport, the cooperatives and villages tour and the vehicle of the camel and quad packages cost 120 EUR per vehicle for 1 to 7 people and 200 EUR for 8 to 17 people; private transport is the same price one way or return on the same day (a return on another day is a second transfer, charged separately) and from Marrakech airport as from a hotel or riad, the cooperatives and villages tour includes a local guide, the camel ride adds 15 EUR per person and the quad session 30 EUR per person. The Ourika and Oukaïmeden day costs 180 EUR per vehicle for 1 to 7 people and 260 EUR for 8 to 17 people. The trek and lunch with a Berber family costs 60 EUR per person for the local guide, the walk and the lunch; transport from Marrakech is not included and can be added at booking as an option (private vehicle with driver, 120 EUR for 1 to 7 people, 200 EUR for 8 to 17, return trip from your hotel or riad). The half day costs 120 EUR per vehicle for 1 to 7 people and 200 EUR for 8 to 17 people; breakfast by the river (20 EUR per person) and a local guide for the waterfalls (40 EUR per group for 1 to 7 people, 80 EUR for 8 to 17) are options added at booking. The Ourika and Agafay desert day costs 180 EUR per vehicle for 1 to 7 people and 260 EUR for 8 to 17 people; the options at Agafay are priced per person (camel ride 30 EUR, quad 35 EUR, dinner with show at a desert camp 45 EUR), and lunch in the Ourika Valley is paid on the spot. The cooking class with a local family costs 60 EUR per person (class, ingredients, the meal and tea) and the pottery workshop 30 EUR per person (you take home the piece you shaped); for both, transport from Marrakech is not included and can be added at booking as an option (private vehicle with driver, 120 EUR for 1 to 7 people, 200 EUR for 8 to 17, return trip). For a group of more than 17 people, contact us. Each price includes what is listed as included on the offer page. Lunch (unless it is listed as included or added as an option), drinks, tips, optional activities and personal purchases are not included unless stated.
4. Cancellation by you
- Cancellation up to 7 days before the date of the trip: free, with a full refund.
- Cancellation less than 7 days before the trip, or no-show: no refund.

5. Weather, river and safety
In the Ourika Valley, summer thunderstorms can make the river rise quickly. If weather or river conditions make the valley unsafe on your date, or if the authorities close the road or the paths, we propose another date or a full refund, as you prefer. On the day, our driver and guide may change the programme (for example, shorten the waterfall walk) for safety reasons. Their decision is final. We never replace the Ourika Valley with another destination without your agreement.
6. Changes
You may ask to change the date or the group size; we do our best to accept, depending on availability. If the group size changes, the price is adjusted: the vehicle price follows the vehicle needed (1 to 7 or 8 to 17 people) and the options priced per person follow the number of people. We may have to replace a vehicle, driver or guide for reasons beyond our control; the service will remain equivalent.
7. Pickup
We pick you up at your hotel or riad in Marrakech. Cars cannot enter most medina lanes: if you stay inside the medina, pickup is at the nearest point a vehicle can reach, which we confirm before the trip. Please be ready at the agreed time with your phone switched on. If we cannot find you or reach you by phone or WhatsApp, the trip may be treated as a no-show.
8. Children
Travellers under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or a responsible adult, who remains responsible for them throughout the trip. Please tell us the ages of children when booking.
9. Health and fitness
The walk to the waterfalls of Setti Fatma is on a rocky path with steps and some scrambling. It requires good shoes and a reasonable level of fitness. Tell us before booking about any health condition, pregnancy or reduced mobility, so we can advise you or adapt the programme. You take part in walks and activities at your own risk and should follow the guide's instructions.
10. Liability and third-party services
We are responsible for the services we provide ourselves: transport, driver and guide. Restaurants, cooperatives, shops and activity partners (such as camel ride or quad operators) are independent businesses, responsible for their own services, prices and products. We are not liable for losses, delays or damage caused by events beyond our control, such as weather, road closures, strikes or decisions of the authorities. We recommend that you have travel insurance.
11. Behaviour
We ask all travellers to respect the people, villages and customs of the valley (see our guide to the people of the valley). We may end a service without refund if a traveller behaves dangerously, illegally or abusively towards our team, other people or local residents.
12. Complaints
If something is not right, tell your driver or guide straight away so we can fix it on the spot. You can also write to [email protected] after the trip; we will look into it and answer.
13. Personal data
We handle your data as described in our privacy policy.
14. Governing law
These terms are governed by Moroccan law. In case of dispute, we will first look for a friendly solution with you; failing that, the competent Moroccan courts will have jurisdiction.
