The private transfer to Les Jardins de Taja is a car or minivan with driver between Marrakech and the door of the hotel, in the Ourika Valley. It costs 100 EUR per vehicle one way from a hotel or riad in Marrakech and 120 EUR from Marrakech airport (RAK), for 1 to 7 people; for 8 to 17 people a minibus costs 200 EUR. The price is for the vehicle, not per person, and includes fuel and a driver who speaks French, English and Spanish. The drive back on another day is a second transfer at the same price, so a return costs 200 EUR from Marrakech and 240 EUR from the airport. Where is Les Jardins de Taja and how long is the drive?

Les Jardins de Taja is a guesthouse in the commune of Ourika. Its address on Booking.com is Douar Amekhlij, Route de Tahanaout: it is not on the main valley road that climbs to Setti Fatma, but on the road that links Ourika to Tahanaout, at the foot of the Atlas. Booking.com gives 43 km from Marrakech airport. A douar is a hamlet: the last part of the way runs through a village, and a driver who knows the area saves you the search. Check-in is from 2 pm to 8 pm, which matters if you land late: give us your flight time when you book and we confirm the driving time and the pickup.

How does the transfer from Marrakech airport work?

1. Book the transfer online and give us the name of the hotel, the date, the number of travellers and your flight number.
2. The driver follows your flight. If it lands late, the pickup moves with it.
3. He meets you in the arrivals hall of Marrakech-Menara airport and helps with the luggage.
4. The drive goes around Marrakech and takes the Ourika road towards the mountains.
5. He takes you to the door of Les Jardins de Taja, last stretch included.

And from a riad or a hotel in Marrakech?

We collect you at your hotel, riad or rental in Marrakech, including the Palmeraie, Hivernage and Guéliz. If your riad is inside the medina, where cars cannot enter the lanes, the driver waits at the nearest point a car can reach, as close to your door as possible. This transfer costs 100 EUR per vehicle for 1 to 7 people. You choose the time: many travellers leave after breakfast and reach the hotel for lunch.

What about the drive back?

The day you leave, the driver collects you at Les Jardins de Taja at the time you choose and takes you to your next hotel in Marrakech (100 EUR) or to the airport (120 EUR). If you fly out the same day, give us your flight time when you book: we set the pickup with a margin for the road and for check-in. Book the two drives together and you have nothing left to organise on the spot.

Can we stop on the way?

Yes. The Ourika road passes a women's argan oil cooperative, the Anima garden and the potters' village. A stop turns the drive into a first taste of the valley. Tell us when you book, so we plan the time and you still arrive within the check-in hours of the hotel.
